Dr. Christoph Menzel holds a dual diploma in business administration and economics, along with a Ph.D. in the field of game theory from the University of Hamburg as a scholar of the German National Academic Foundation.

He started his professional career at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), advising clients in the financial and energy industries on strategic matters. Subsequently, his expertise led him to the corporate development division of the E.ON Group in Düsseldorf, where he managed strategy processes with international market units in the United Kingdom, Scandinavia, and the United States.

As Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Dr. Christoph Menzel played a key role in major strategy reviews, M&A projects, and growth initiatives at E.ON. These initiatives included strategies to address the financial crisis and Fukushima, the expansion of the renewables business, entry into international markets, as well as the spin-off of UNIPER and the acquisition of INNOGY. Following this, he assumed a leadership role in E.ON’s innovation area.

Motivated to support executives in their personal and professional development, he completed professional education as an executive coach at Bossert Associates in Munich prior to becoming a partner at KONITZER & TAFEL. This qualification, combined with his extensive experience as a consultant and executive in strategy development, enables him to provide tailored service precisely aligned with the individual needs and goals of his clients.

Dr. Christoph Menzel is married, a father to a school-age son, and resides with his family in Düsseldorf.
